THE
PURPOSE
Carry out routine operation, maintenance and checks of power
generating equipment and its auxiliaries as well as the power distribution
equipment.
THE DUTIES
- Carryout
day to day operation of the generating sets, ensuring efficient and effective
running of the machine.
- Monitor
generator parameters while the engine is running to ensure that they are in
good operating condition and if otherwise, take corrective action.
- Take
hourly records of all critical engine parameters.
- Conduct
regular condition monitoring of the engine, observing sound of the engine,
lubricating oil level, temperatures, pressures, and leakages, watch out for
loose bolts, and carry out visual inspection of all necessary engine parts.
- Carry
out troubleshooting of generator faults, effect mechanical repairs, and minor
installations as at when required.
- Ensure
all mechanical auxiliaries are in good working condition.
- Generate,
write, and keep reports on the activities of the shift.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able
to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Possess
a strong foundation of technical skills, proficient in utilizing various tools
and technologies to deliver efficient solutions.
- Understanding
and interpreting technical documents and manuals.
QUALIFICATION
- 5
O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2
sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.

years’ cognate experience
